CCMC385 Merry & Bright

By now, most of you are putting the finishing touches on your holiday shopping and greetings!  I am quite a bit behind, but I’ll get there!  It’s sketch week at Create with Connie and Mary and I do love this one!  I knew instantly what I was going to do with this layout!

Stamp Set:  Lots of Joy

Ink:  Jet Black StazOn

Paper:  Real Red, Very Vanilla, Red Foil, Gold Foil, Winter Wonderland Specialty DSP

Accessories:  1/8″ Gold taffeta ribbon, pearls, Winter Wonderland washi tape, Delicate Ornament Thinlits, Precision Base Plate, Dimensionals, gold thread form Metallic Baker’s twine

I love, love, love this card!  Love the pops of red and gold peeking out through the yummy vanilla!  (How many times can you say love in one post?!)  The Winter Wonderland suite of products is so pretty!  I was not a fan of gold anything…I always leaned toward silver, but I’m digging this gold trend!  The gold threads holding the ornaments are from the Metallic Baker’s Twine.  I separated the gold thread out.  I thought I had the Metallic thread in gold, but I guess not – so I made do with what I had!

Now you head over to Create with Connie and Mary and give this sketch a try…can’t wait to see what you do!

  1. These ornaments are the perfect fit for this sketch! You definitely nailed it this week! They look sostylish with the gold and red foil behind the intricate cut-outs…..and so elegant against the beautiful opulent gold DSP! Awesome job!
