Of course, you all know what day tomorrow is!  But you don’t know that July 5th is my mother’s birthday!  I always create a patriotic birthday card for my mother.  Before I show you my card, I have to tell you that I used a retired stamp on this card!  (gasp!  I got permission from Connie and Mary, so I’m good with posting this.)  The “mom” stamp is from the retired Family Reunion set.  I had fully intended to take my photo of this card BEFORE I stamped the “mom” on there, but forgot and in the essence of time and card supplies, I got permission to use this card despite the retired stamp.  THANK YOU SO MUCH, Connie and Mary!  If you wanted to create the same card, you could use the new Simply Serif Mini Alphabet on pg. 33 of the catalog and you could put your family member’s name on this card to personalize it.  I feel better now that I have been completely honest with you!  LOL!  Now, on to my card!

  2. I, too, always make a patriotic card for my daughter’s July 4th birthday even if she is in her 40’s. Always like to see what ideas other stampers come up with. Love your creation!

  3. I love how you personalized your card for your mom. That is one of the many things I love about stamping! I also love how you sprinkled a few stars around and added just enough bling.
